Welcome to my County Council campaign website! I am grateful for your interest in my campaign. I am running for County Council because I believe Jeff Allen did an excellent job in representing Republican principles while serving on the council and I believe it is vitally important for us to replace Jeff with another principled conservative to ensure that the interests of the Republican majority in the county are represented. Electing a principled Republican to the County Council is the first step in taking back control of the County Council and our county!
I am a lifelong Republican activist. I currently serve as a Senate District Chair and as a member of the Salt Lake County Republican Party Executive Committee. During this past year, I also served as Governor Herbert’s campaign chairman here in the county when he ran for re-election as Lt. Governor. I am also a former United States Army officer and currently serve as a Vice President of the Association of the United States Army’s Utah chapter.
I am a social conservative who is pro-life and pro-Second Amendment. I support traditional marriage between a man and a woman as well as increased immigration enforcement. I am running on a platform of fiscal responsibility, cutting wasteful spending and opposing increases in property taxes and fees. I also believe it is important to increase transparency and accountability of our government and public officials.
If elected, I promise to work hard to prudently manage country growth, avoid wasteful and costly duplication of municipal services and maintain highway access, TRAX and county roads. In addition, I will make it a top priority to improve public safety. We need to do more to support law enforcement and clamp down on gang violence and drug-related crimes in order to keep our streets safe, but there is also more we can do in the area of crime prevention as well as rehabilitation programs.
